Joe Ayers joined Jeppesen ForeFlight in December 2025 as chief financial officer, bringing more than 15 years of finance and operational leadership experience in mission-critical enterprise software.

Joe has extensive private equity experience, having partnered with leading sponsors including CVC Capital Partners, Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, and Vista Equity Partners, as well as with publicly traded Fortune 1000 companies. Most recently, he served as EVP & Chief Financial Officer at Epicor Software, a $1 billion+ vertical market ERP leader. At Epicor, he led a stake-sale recapitalization, architected the company's enterprise value creation plan, and drove double-digit organic growth.

His experience spans financial planning, corporate development, business intelligence, internal AI adoption, accounting, treasury, and strategic programs.

Prior to Epicor, Joe held progressive finance leadership roles at Khoros (formerly Lithium Technologies) through its VC to PE transition, PG&E in SEC reporting and technical accounting, and KPMG in audit.

Joe holds a B.S. in Accounting from Bob Jones University and completed the Harvard Business Analytics Program. He is a CPA (inactive).
