Jeppesen ForeFlight Introduces Enroute Profile View On FliteDeck Pro

October 22, 2026

AUSTIN, TX – Oct. 21, 2026 – Jeppesen ForeFlight today announced the release of FliteDeck Pro version 5.3, introducing Enroute Profile View and a set of targeted improvements designed to help commercial flight crews make better decisions, reduce workload, and maintain situational awareness throughout every phase of flight. This announcement reinforces the company's commitment to delivering a unified, best-in-class experience across its integrated product family.

View route, weather, and terrain in cross-sections along the enroute map in FliteDeck Pro 5.3 with the new Enroute Profile View.

For operators subscribed to Enroute Intelligence, FliteDeck Pro 5.3 delivers a leap forward in vertical situational awareness with the introduction of Enroute Profile View. The new capability gives crews a cross-section perspective of terrain and weather along the active route, allowing them to see exactly what lies ahead vertically and make more informed calls on routing and step climbs before they become an issue, without leaving their primary flight operations platform.

The feature mirrors Profile View functionality long available to ForeFlight Mobile users, extending a proven capability to the commercial aviation market and continuing the trajectory set by the Graphical NOTAMs introduction in the previous version.

“Enroute Profile View is another example of how the depth of the ForeFlight platform can be expanded to benefit our commercial aviation customers," said Martin Kemp, Vice President of Commercial Flight Deck, Jeppesen ForeFlight. "Functionality that crews have relied on in ForeFlight Mobile for years is now available in FliteDeck Pro, and that's a direct result of what we're able to do as a combined product family."

Key capabilities include:

  • Weather in context: Crews see only what's relevant within a defined region of their immediate flight path.
  • Terrain awareness: A banded terrain gradient, matched to the enroute map's contour legend, displays exactly along the route line.
  • Route fix symbols and labels: Reporting points, user-defined waypoints, SIDs, STARs, and navaids all appear in the cross-section.
  • Ownship position: A moving symbol tracks the aircraft's position, fading out beyond 20 nautical miles laterally off-route and disappearing entirely past 50 nautical miles.
  • Flight plan altitude data: Crews gain a clear picture of the planned vertical profile.

Together, these capabilities give pilots and dispatchers a shared, at-a-glance understanding of what lies ahead.
